GAB Oktoberfest Malaysia

3:51 PM

Oktoberfest is back! The leading beer and stout company in Malaysia, Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) will be having an exciting consumer promotion in celebrating the iconic German Oktoberfest with a special edition 1 liter Ceramic Oktoberfest Mug when enjoying GAB's iconic brews. I want one please!

You love beers and stouts, and you love to have a good time, I can't see any other month better than October. Life has been such a routine for me, but at least I got something to look forward to this month as we beer and stout drinkers can celebrate themed parties across the country for Oktoberfest.

What to expect at the theme parties? A fun and somewhat relaxing evening with good food from around the world, fun and exciting contests, promotions and activities, and of course we can't forget the GAB's selection of award-winning beers: Tiger, Guinness, Heineken, and the official Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier. The official Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier is exclusively brewed for this Oktoberfest season. :)

One of the things that I look forward to most is the special edition Oktoberfest Mug with a limited edition metal lid! Definitely have to drop by early no matter how busy I am to reserve mine.

Oh btw here are some interesting facts about Oktoberfest!

Oktoberfest Facts & Figures
1. Did you know that the Oktoberfest celebration started off as a wedding celebration back in the 1810? It was to commemorate the union between Crown Prince Ludwig, (who later became King Ludwig 1) and Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen at Theresienwiese.

2. Through the years, Oktoberfest celebrations have had a number of different elements and activities, including horse races, street parades (in traditional costumes), live music, dancing and of course the appreciation of authentic Munich-brewed beer.

3. Currently, Oktoberfest is a truly global celebration with almost 7 million visitors consuming over 7 million litres of beer and more than half a million chickens throughout the celebration (based on 2011 figures), which lasts between 16 – 18 days from the middle of September to the first Sunday of October.

4. For 2013, the Oktoberfest festival proper will run from 21 September 2013 to October 6 2013 – a total of 16 days of culture, cuisine and beers
